Judge declines to set bond for funeral director

Henryville funeral director Rick Pyke will remain in jail awaiting trial, Clark County Superior Court No. 1 Judge Vicki Carmichael ruled Wednesday. Pyke, owner of R.D.Pyke Funeral Home in Henryville and Pyke-Calloway Funeral Home in New Albany, had his bond revoked in May after he and his 19-year-old son, Richard "Bradley" Pyke, were arrested for class D felony theft. While released on bond after being charged with 15 counts of insurance fraud and 14 counts of theft, Pyke was accused of providing a family with ashes he and Bradley allegedly claimed to be the family's pet
