Man crashes into neighbor's porch, charged with OWI

A New Albany man was arrested Wednesday after reportedly crashing his van into the front porch of a house and then leaving the scene. New Albany Police Department officers were called to the 2500 block of Larkwood Drive in reference to a hit-and-run accident at 5:25 p.m. Wednesday. According to an accident report, 23-year-old Richard A. Bennett had been driving westbound on Larkwood and was rounding a curve too fast and ran off the road; the damage caused by the crash was estimated to be between $5,000 and $10,000
