Giving back

Sponsored by the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana, the luncheon recognizes volunteers from non-profit organizations in Floyd, Clark and Harrison counties. The luncheon has grown during the past few years as more organizations began nominating volunteers for the Gold Leaf recognition. Curtis Peters is a retired philosophy professor and dean of humanities at Indiana University Southeast, Peters is working to create a museum for an antique collection of fire equipment established by Floyd County resident Fred Conway.
