Indiana American gets approval to raise rates

After a year-long process a rate increase was approved for Indiana American Water Company by the Indiana utility Regulatory Commission in its final order issued April 30. Residents in Southern Indiana will see a 27.75 percent increase in the monthly water bill, which is higher than the rate approved for users across the state of 19.72 percent. For an average customer using 6,000 gallons per month their bill will go from $37.86 to $46.77
