Man gets 13 years in New Albany robbery
A Louisville man implicated in a string of armed robberies in New Albany was sentenced Thursday to 13 years in prison followed by seven years of probation. Jamarcus A. Johnson was arrested along with 23-year-old Bruce A. Brents, of Louisville, on Oct. 14 following a robbery at the Swifty Mart on Silver and East Spring streets in New Albany. Johnson pleaded guilty last month to one count of class B felony armed robbery; Senior Judge Richard Striegal accepted the plea agreement which called for the 20-year sentence
