Footprints in snow lead police to alleged copper thief

A New Albany man was arrested early Wednesday for allegedly stealing more than $500 worth of copper pipe from a work truck parked on the 300 block of Woodrow Avenue. The truck belongs to E & E Mechanical of Louisville. Brandon Gunter and Justin Schuley were arrested on preliminary charges of felony theft. A homeowner reportedly saw a would-be burglar flee from his home Tuesday morning moments after he discovered a door had been forced open in his garage.
