Girl nearly struck by shots fired

Police are investigating shots fired into two homes on the 1100 block of Ekin Avenue Sunday morning; just before 4:30 a.m. numerous bullets struck a home that was occupied by six people -- there were four children, from 3 to 12 years old, living in the house. Joshua Proffitt was reportedly involved in an accident that occurred at about 6:45 p.m. in the 1200 block of Bono Road; he was found to be illegally in possession of the prescription drug Xanax and Lortab. The police incident report states Brian Tindall hit four pedestrians and then got out of his vehicle and walked away; Tindall's blood-alcohol content was reportedly twice the legal limit
