Man transported to hospital afterI-64 wreck near Greenville

An Ohio man was transported to University Hospital in Louisville by Stat Flight on Thursday after a serious wreck on Interstate 64 westbound near the Greenville exit. Gerald Segerlund, 75, of Akron, Ohio, was reportedly driving a 2011 Hyundai Sonata to Evansville when he fell asleep while driving and struck a guardrail, Indiana State Police Master Trooper Wilbur Turner said. Segerlund reportedly suffered a severely fractured leg, but his injuries were described as non-life threatening
