Linden Meadows could get $100K boost from grant
The five-year Consolidated Community Development Plan passed by the New Albany Redevelopment Commission includes $100,000 for the failed Linden Meadows Development. Initially, the federal Community Development Block Grant funds were targeted specifically for acquisition and rehabilitation of the subdivision. But since the state agreed to spend up to $1 million to rehab Linden Meadows last month and a private developer proposed to purchase the subdivision, the CDBG funds have been earmarked for another purpose, according to Deputy Mayor Carl Malysz
