Floyd man accused of raping, strangling minor

A man accused of raping a minor appeared in court in New Albany on Thursday. Valentin Valenzuela, 30, is charged with level 1 felony rape, two level 4 counts of sexual misconduct with a minor and a level 6 felony charge of strangulation for events that allegedly took place over the course of a year.
