Library plans digital branch in Galena

Melissa Merida wants people to visit the New Albany-Floyd County Public Library often, and enjoy the many offerings available from thousands of books to programs for both the young and old. But as director of the library, she understands that many in the county have a hard time making it to the Spring Street location on a regular basis. Later this year, that may no longer be an issue. The library, with the help of the Floyd County Commissioners, is planning to open a digital branch in Galena, in an old house, 6956 U.S. 150, at the intersection of U.S. 150 and Edwardsville-Galena Road.
