Under a spell: Group says alcohol and drugs are not the only substances that can impair drivers
"Even everyday medications such as cholesterol-lowering drugs, antidepressants and sedating cold and allergy remedies can diminish driving skill by causing drowsiness and by compromising coordination and reaction time, according to Karen Tarney, co-founder of CANDID (Citizens Against Drug Impaired Drivers).
