Salvation Army builds on idea of thrift store

The new bulding supply store opened January 17 in the rear of the Salvation Army thrift store.. David Stemler, a board member of the Salvation Army, wanted to open a salvage store where people could buy outdated or slightly used materials.. The store has opened at the old Lowe's building (in Clarksville) and will utilize 8 acres of building and land.
