Plans for new fire station progressing

Residents will be allowed to take old bricks tomorrow. A time capsule was found by city workers as they were at the site of the new fire station on E. 4th and Spring Streets ... The mayor's chief of staff, Kevin Boehnlein, took the capsule to the New Albany library to see if it could be salvaged ... the capsule's contents were not salvagable. Groundbreaking at the site is scheduled for May 5. The new department will replace the old fire station at W. 10th and Main Street, which will close October 1st to make way for a wastewater treatment plant
