River banks

$3 million in work will be committed to the New Albany portion of the Ohio River Greenway project. It was announced 2 tunnels will go through the floodwall at Bank St. and First St. Mayor Garner said the money will come from the $2.4 million bond the city has for Scribner Place. The mayor is trying to get other money so appropriation money is not necessary. The Army Corp. will contribute matching funds and save nearly $1 million since the project is above the floodwall.
