Plumbing inspector's job cut to part-time

NA Mayor James Garner announced Friday that an inspector in the building commissioner's office will have his hours cut back to part-time. Within the past eight months, the Building Commissioner's Office has received 163 requests for plumbing inspections in 168 workdays, Garner said. The average plumbing inspection takes less than an hour. Garner said there isn't enough work to justify a full-time position, saying this decision was fiscally sound.
