Twila Rouck served in general hospital units in Australia, New Guinea and Manilla during WWII.. Ms. Rouck met her husband, Ed, in Manilla and moved to New Albany after the war.. After raising their 4 children Ms. Rouck returned to nursing at Floyd Memorial Hospital where she worked 2 or more evenings a week for 20 years.. Ms. Rouck volunteers for Meals on Wheels and helps at the senior day care center at Providence Retirement Home.. A wartime photograph and a current photograph of Ms. Rouck accompanies the article.
