Top dogs to get say on masterplan

It breezed through the New Albany Redevelopment Commission and Plan Commission, now the Scribner Place phase two downtown masterplan is headed to the City Council. City Council will vote Monday on amending comprehensive plan; members also to consider not funding all of Scribner Place phase two. The masterplan focuses on the area between the Sherman Minton Bridge and East Sixth Street; it calls for zoning changes, such as regulating areas for recreation and mixed use developments. A keystone of the plan is a plaza that would include a parking garage. There are also provisions for infrastructure upgrades, such as reopening a street to connect many of the downtown one-way roads near the flood levy
