Rauch breaks ground on homes for disabled

Rauch Inc. held a ground-breaking ceremony in Hawthorne Glen Wednesday for the first phase of a project that will eventually build 18 homes for local people with disabilities. The project is designed for individuals with physical and mental disabilities to live in supported housing, develop independence and be part of the community. The Rauch Residential Project purchased six acres of land with a gift from an anonymous donor; phase one of the project will include four homes, each housing three residents.
