Stem, local philanthropist, dies at 86

Mr. Stem was involved in many organizations. He organized Historic New Albany; he was involved in beautification projects; he was instrumental in relocating the campus of IUS to Grant Line Rd.; and he contributed $500,000 in scholarships to the fine arts and music at IUS..
