Reactions mixed to cancellation of heart hospital

Cardiovascular Hospitals of America which owned 51% of the proposed hosital has cancelled the project because of increased land costs. Floyd Memorial Hospital said the new hospital would take profitable heart cases that help support charity care, their research and teaching programs. The shortage of nurses and other health care workers would have become worse. Floyd Memorial will be able to offer some services the private hospital would have such as angioplasty and implantation of stents.
