Traffic stop ends with weapons, drug arrests

Two Lanesville men were arrested by members of the Police Department during a routine traffic stop shortly after 6 p.m.. The officer identified the driver as Matthew Burns and the passenger as Jonathan Stewart. The police found two unlicensed .40 caliber handguns, marijuana and paraphernalia and an illegal switchblade knife. The men were booked into the Floyd County Jail on preliminary misdemeanor charges
