Road warriors

The Road Department oversees 366 miles of county roads. With the forecast of more snow on the way, Ron Quakenbush made sure the 29 salt trucks and three brine trucks were loaded and ready to go. During thunderstorms, the department has to clear limbs from roads and ditches; they also fill pot holes during the summer and make and replace road signs, cut weeds, fix guardrails and work with the stormwater department.
