Officials seek injunction to close Kidz Playhouse

State officials have asked for an emergency injunction to close Kidz Playhouse in New Albany after the woman who runs the child care facility at her house was charged last week with abusing her 8-year-old son. Teresa A. Daily of 3835 Franklin St., is scheduled to appear in Floyd Superior Court No. 1 on August 12, charged with class D felony battery resulting in bodily injury to a child under 14. Bureau of Child Care Administrator Melanie Brizzi wrote a letter to the Attorney General's office Wednesday asking them to file for injunctive relief to stop the operation
