Vote on health insurance remains tabled

The New Albany Board of Public Works and Safety on Tuesday left a resolution concerning medical insurance for city workers tabled until next week. Details of the coverage are still being finalized, and the city's insurance agent was expected to meet with city employee unions before the board selects a plan. But City Controller and board of works member Kay Garry said the IACT proposal for New Albany isn't cheaper than the options currently being weighed, and it also leaves out several benefits the city offers
