TIF funds could go to private HVAC upgrades

By voting to amend two tax-increment financing districts, the New Albany Redevelopment Commission has taken the first step implementing a funding incentive for industries that wish to imporve or install heating cooling systems in their facilities. The idea was initially presented to the commission in August by Deputy Mayor Carl Malysz at the behest of TG Missouri Corp., which is located at 5331 Foundation Blvd.. The company is looking to add jobs at one of its three locations, and asked the commission to consider providing up to $150,000 toward an air conditioning unit as a stimulant to TG Missouri to choose New Albany for its expansion
