Prosser teacher gets 15 years in prison

Mark Yarmey, a Floyd County teacher convicted of use of a minor in a sexual performance, will have to serve nearly 13 years in prison after he signed a deal with prosecutors Tuesday. Yarmey waived his right to have the jury who convicted him of the sexual performance charge sentence him, signing a deal to serve 15 years in prison. If Yarmey successfully appeals the verdict in this case, the commonwealth is free to bring back the sodomy charge
