Stormwater loan sails through council

The New Albany City Council unanimously approved loaning the stormwater utility $300,000 for drainage projects; the $300,000 would go toward installing a detention pond in the Castlewood Drive area. The New Albany Township Little League Board of Directors didn't ask the council for money for a new baseball and softball complex, but they hinted such a request may be coming. The council had frozen salaries for all city employees before the stormwater board approved the raises; the justification given by the stormwater board was that the employees had been given new responsibilities
