Sex offenders to pay fee

Sex offenders living in Floyd County will now have to pay a $50 registration fee. The money will be used to help pay for new software which will help law officials keep track of sex offenders not only in their area, but throughout the country. The commissioners agreed to pay $25,000 to Georgetown to help pay for an emergency culvert repair at the entrance to Brookstone subdivision.
