Edward Hopkins, who shot and killed his brother-in-law, James Mathews, at their home in Bond Hill, near Cincinnati last Thursday night, is a nephew of Albert Hopkins, 417 Bank street, this city. It is understood that Hopkins acted entirely in self defense and was being pursued by Matthews at the time the murder was committed. Matthews was 45 years old and was married to miss Mayme Hopkins, formerly of this city, a few years ago.
