Commissioners vote in favor of $6 million building

"The County Council chose to back a plan that called for a new 50,200 square foot residential facility with a 40-person capacity for the FCYSB (Floyd Co. Youth Services Bureau) and other county offices, including adult probation, community corrections, Floyd County Veterans Services, emergency management, soil & water, Floyd County Solid Waste, Purdue extension and juvenile probation to be built on Grant Line Road near the annex building. County offices within the City-County Building will also get additional space from the planned renovations and the judicial courts will be expanded, as well."
