Glass in the Casket
The undertaker states that the coffin was not opened at the funeral of Rosa Graves, who died of scarlet fever, and that the many school children present viewed the deceased through the glass in the casket. This does not help matters much, as the disease was in the house and the contagion is sure to spread.
