In Good With King Constantine

C.P. Casanges, former New Albany business man, will occupy a high position in the Greek Government in the event King Constantine is restored to the throne as indicated in press dispatches from Athens, it was predicted today by residents of the local Greek colony who were acquainted with Casanges and knew of the esteem in which he is held by the dethroned ruler.. Casanges, whose wife and daughter are said to be living in Indianapolis, went into exile with King Constantine, upon whose staff he served during the World War, according to word received here.... Returning to Europe in 1912 as a representative of the American-Greek Society on a mission concerning settlement of certain boundary questions growing out of the Balkan War, he is said to have made such a favorable impression that he was elected to the Greek Parliament. When the World War developed he entered the Greek Army and later became connected with the staff of King Constantine.. His wife continued to reside on Silver Hills following his departure from Europe until after the marriage of her daughter, an artist, to a citizen of Indianapolis, after which she moved to Indianapolis. Mrs. Casanges had been prominent in the affairs of the Indiana Franchise League, which worked for extension of suffrage to women.
