Trooper Jackie Smith and Trooper Katrina Smith first got to know each other in 2004, when both were assigned to investigate meth labs for ISP's Sellersburg Post. They are combating a problem that is still huge in Indiana; the state ranks second in the country for meth lab seizures and incidents, according to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. Through September, there had been 991 clandestine labs seized by ISP this year; there have been 686 arrests made and 122 children affected.
