Floyd County, Civil War focus of Padgett exhibit

From 1861 to 1862, three infantry regiments from the Union army organized in New Albany to prepare for combat. They serve as three examples of Floyd County's role in the Civil War, and how the battles that pitted American against American impacted Southern Indiana. "Floyd County's Contribution to the Civil War Effort" will be on display at the museum for at least one year according to Pam Peters, one of the organizers of the exhibit. Peters said the Floyd County displays have been prepared with help from the New Albany-Floyd County Public Library and the Carnegie Center for Art and History
