Radiology Associates, Anthem reach agreement

A contract dispute between Radiology Associates Inc. and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield that lasted more than six months ended Sunday when a new deal between the two entities went into effect. Radiology Associates, a group of 21 radiologists headquartered in Southern Indiana, is again an in-network provider for Anthem's policyholders, according to a press release from Floyd Memorial Hospital. The dispute began in mid-December while the two sides were negotitating a new deal, as the previous three-year contract was coming to an end; Radiology Associates claimed the reimbursement rate it received from Anthem was below the rate received from other private insurance companies and that it had not sought an increase since 2007
