Tolls on Sopachetti Junction enter the bridges discussion
For the first time, a detailed plan has included Spaghetti Junction as part of the possible infrastructure that could be tolled to help pay for the construction of the Ohio River Bridges Project. Wilbur Smith and Associates, which conducted an original tolling study in 2007, provided an update to the plan at the Louisville and Southern Indiana Bridges Authority meeting Thursday. To pay for the $4.1 billion project to construct an east-end bridge, a downtown Interstate 65 bridge and a reconstruction of Spaghetti Junction the bistate authority has been pursuing a mix of funding, which has been repeatedly said will include some sort of user fee
