Accidents

We are pained to hear of a serious accident to Mrs. James Kintner, daughter of Captain Sam. Montgomery, of this city, which happened at Shoals, Martin county, yesterday. Last Saturday, Mrs. Kintner left this city on a visit to her husband, who is engaged in the iron business at the point named. A spring wagon, in which Mr. and Mrs. K. were riding, was brought in contact with the corner of a rail fence, and Mrs. K. was thrown violently to the ground, breaking her arm and otherwise seriously bruising her. She was brought to this city on the 8 o'clock train last night, on the arrival of which, a carriage was in waiting to convey her to her father's house. Mrs. Kintner seemed to be suffering intensely when she reached the depot, but could walk with the assistance of her husband. The many friends of Mrs. Kintner will join us in the hope of her speedy recovery.
