Thomas Posey Byrn, with Noble D. Morris as clerk and bookkeeper was born at Corydon, November 3, 1823. He came to New Albany in 1839 and remained until 1850 then he went to Chicago and did the plumbing for the city when it was first lit by gas. He came back here in 1871 and was engaged in the grocery business with late Lewis Wicks and was also in the dry goods business. He lived with his sisters until about eight months ago when he was married for the first time. He lives on Lower Market street.
