A Shared History - WWII exhibit connects relatives, family friends of fallen soldiers
Students in a history class taught by Mark McKay at Floyd Central High School recently wrapped up a project that profiled eight men from Floyd County who died in World War II. Information about the fallen soldiers and WWII-era memorabilia was put on display at the New Albany-Floyd County Public Library earlier this month, with an article about the project and exhibit appearing in the News and Tribune on May 1. McKay was then contacted by Steve Anshutz, whose mother, Betty Salm, was friends with Lewis Richard Anderson and Fred Penn, two of the men featured in the exhibit. See article for more.
